The state of Indiana requires all apprentices to be licensed through the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (PLA) in order to perform any plumbing work within the state. A license is active for two years before it will need to be renewed. Renewals happen on October 1st on an even year

- Go to www.inphcc.com
- Click on Member Portal
- Download How to Register as an Apprentice with the State of Indiana located under Advocacy
- The PLA’s office requires apprentices to complete this registration online. FWAPHCC does not submit applications to the PLA’s office.
- You will need FWAPHCC’s certification of your enrollment. To get this, we will need a copy of your 671 on file which is obtained through the RAPIDS program (see page 8)
Please Note:
The PLA’s office sends out communication to the email used to register as an apprentice. It is strongly recommended that you choose an email address you are familiar with and check on a regular basis to ensure you do not miss important communication such as license renewal information.
