1st Year Test Out Information

Dear Sponsor,

FWAPHCC offers plumbing apprentices the opportunity to test out of the 1st year plumbing class. If you have an employee attending the upcoming apprenticeship program who would like to test out of their 1st year plumbing class, please complete the registration form below.

The fee for this exam is $500 and is nonrefundable. Payment must be received by July 13, 2026. Apprentices will not be permitted to take the test if payment has not been received by that date.

The test consists of 100 questions, and apprentices must achieve a score of 70% or higher to pass. There is no study guide available for this exam.

Test-Out Information

• Date: July 20, 2026
• Fee: $500 (nonrefundable) (due July 13, 2026)
  • This fee does not apply to school tuition
• Location: 2330 Wayne Haven St, Fort Wayne IN 46803
• Start Time: 6:00 P.M.

Important Information:

• Apprentice(s) should arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time. If an apprentice is more than 15 minutes late, they will not be allowed to take the test
• Apprentice(s) will need to bring 2 pencils with them.
• Apprentice(s) may bring a basic standard calculator during the test-out. The use of a smartphone is prohibited and will result in failure of the exam.

Results will be emailed to the sponsor 1-2 weeks after the test out. There are no make up dates and no retakes given should an apprentice fail to appear or receive a score below 70%.
