1st Year Test Out Information

Dear Sponsor,

FWAPHCC offers plumbing apprentices the ability to test out of 1st Year.  If you have an employee attending the upcoming Apprenticeship Program who would like to test out of their 1st year plumbing class, please fill out the registration form and return it along with the nonrefundable fee to the FWAPHCC school. If payment is not received by July 7, 2025 then the apprentice(s) will not be allowed to take the test. We accept payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card. Please make checks out to FWAPHCC and mail them to 2330 Wayne Haven St, Ft Wayne, IN 46803.

The test consists of 100 questions. The apprentice must pass the test with a score of 70% or higher. There is no study guide.

Test-Out Information

  • Date: July 22, 2025
  • Fee: $500 (nonrefundable) (due July 7, 2025)
    • This fee does not apply to school tuition
  • Location: 2330 Wayne Haven St, Fort Wayne IN 46803
  • Start Time: 6:00 P.M.

Important Information:

  • Apprentice(s) should arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time. If an apprentice is more than 15 minutes late, they will not be allowed to take the test
  • Apprentice(s) will need to bring 2 pencils with them.
  • Apprentice(s) may bring a basic standard calculator during the test-out. The use of a smartphone is prohibited and will result in failure of the exam.

Results will be emailed to the sponsor 1-2 weeks after the test out. There are no make up dates and no retakes given should an apprentice fail to appear or receive a score below 70%.
